So we've been having a ton of fun this summer. Jaxon went wakeboarding and motorcycle riding for the first time, fun water slides, lots of time in Gunlock, which as you can see from the pics has a TON of amazing fruit.

Baby Blessing

Over the 4th mine and Matt's family met up at Gunlock to bless our sweet little Olivia. It was such a beautiful day and experience. I love baby blessings! They are so precious and this is the one blessing where you child receives her (in this case) name. I am so grateful I have a wonderful husband who is able to do this for my children. I feel that there is so much that a mother does for her children every day, but it is only the father that is able to lay his hands upon your children s head and speak the words of God. Thank you babe for living your life in such a way to be able to give this gift to our sweet babies and thank you family for being there to support us and share this special day with us!

Lake Mead

I think I really forgot just HOW much I LOVE the lake, especially Lake Mead...and that just show's you how LONG it has been since I've actually been out on it! Awesome weather, warm water, great friends... is pretty much the perfect combination for....oh anything.

This past week we've been able to go out a couple of times, once with some good friends and the other with time with family. It has been so fun with Jaxon, mainly because he isn't scared of the water anymore...HOORAY! He even got out on the wakeboard with Matt and LOVED it...he's a natural. He just stood in the middle of the board with both his arms wrapped around Matt's legs laughing the whole time...I am pretty sure that his favorite part was when they went out of the wake...soo funny! I wish I had a picture but I forgot my camera..! So lame, I know! ...if only I could do this 4 times a week!

So...I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and she said that I have started to slack on my blogging (not gonna lie...I am HORRIBLE at it) She said to put some pictures of the the kids, but we have none! so sad right? So I told her I was just going to put a picture of Me because I know you all would just LOVE that...especially her though..haha, but I don't have one of those either! So I am sorry that this is a pictureless post...hopefully next time we will have gotten our camera out!

So here are a few things that have been going on in our crazy, unconventional, life for the moment:

-Grandma fell and broke her hip- OUCH! (but she is doing really well and her kiddos are taking good care of her giving her massages and aromatherapy)...I should break my hip huh?
-Olivia is sleeping through the night! WAHOO!! go baby girl!!
-Olivia is one cranky little girl when she is tired and hungry...uh oh! She must have gotten that from Matt ha..
-Jaxon is learning to use the potty and gets extremely excited when he is successful at it!
-Jaxon is very polite about everything and says "thank you mom" when I vacuum the floor....so funny!
-Matt is finishing up his job at the Hard Rock- Go baby!
-I am loving the YMCA and it is where I can get my little piece of mind each day
-I am trying to get into yoga because it focuses on your core and breathing, which right now...is something that I am needing in my life....just breath Jamie...just breath...but seriously I am loving it!
-We are in the process of raising 24 chickens-thanks to my cousin Rick
-I have been wanting Sonic Cream slushes about every night and have the fight that on a daily basis..so yummy!

All so random, but I love it!

Your 2 1/2 year old hops in bed for the night and looks down and says "it's clean" as he's wiping his hand over the sheets... and then immediately looks at the wall and realizes that all the crayon has mysteriously disappeared from the wall above his bed..with the same surprised reaction of...."it's clean"!!

It somehow makes all of the loads of laundry done, and several instances of scrubbing bedroom walls up to this point all worth it....well..almost :)

p.s. if you don't have a Clean Eraser in your house I have found that plain ol' white toothpaste gets crayon off of walls...it's amazing! AND please don't think that I don't wash Jaxon's sheets because I do it EVERY week...he is just one dirty drooly boy! :)

New found resolution

Well, last night I was talking to Matt and was saying that I wanted to delete this blog. Mainly because I don't EVER update it, but also because I don't think that there is much to blog about, BUT my sweet husband was my blogging cheerleader and now I have a new sense of blogging about whatever it is that comes to mind! Now let's just hope the umph stays put and I stick with it!
Well, April was a busy month! I finally had our sweet baby Olivia! She came on April 12 and weighed 8lb's 3 oz. and she is a cutie!
These were the clothes Jaxon chose to mow the lawn/dirt a couple days ago! Gotta love the Mickey Mouse undies!

Grandma: "yeah, but it is one thing having a baby, it's another having a monstrous baby"

Oh my crazy grandma....good times...good times. Why can't we have more moments like this? However; I am feeling a little more self-conscious than I probably should considering she has Alzheimer's and probably doesn't fully understand what's going on or why....but still it's a sensitive topic when all you wear are pants with big stretchy bands and baggy shirts!

Since I obviously seem to be an undedicated blogger I've decided to somewhat update my blog! But first of all, happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone! We all went up to Gunlock again for the 13th year in a row (I think). I think for sure it is my favorite holiday....all the family together just hanging out....there is nothing like pumpkin pie..mmm Anyway, here are some pictures! Cutie Pie

Beware: Random Post

well, I just spent an 1 1/2 hours doing this exact post, which just barely got deleted somehow by this wonderful program...Grrr. Needless to say, this second REpost is going to be short and sweet.

So, as some of you know a me and a friend of mine started on an exciting venture of designing and creating dresses-SO FUN! However, our lives took over and to be honest, we haven't thought about it since until now. Shabby Apple is doing a very cool thing called "Dare to Design" where anyone can post their designs for their up and coming spring line, so we thought, "why not?"...so here we are giving it a shot, what do we have to lose right? The judges at Shabby Apple choose 15 of their top designs and post them on their BLOG by November 10th and the blog readers then vote on their favorites and whatever dress gets the most votes wins and their dress becomes part of Shabby Apples spring line...super exciting, so wish us luck!

Our inspiration came about by us talking one evening about how we can NEVER find apropriate dresses for functions that we had. ie, black tie events, awards banquets, cruise line dinners, etc. There were always plenty of dresses that you could wear to church and to a wedding but there never seemed anything more formal than that, that had the necessary length and coverage that us girls needed. We were done with cardigans, crop jackets, and skirt/top ensebles...we just wanted a nice dress that was nicer than the average church get up and not as formal as a gown....is it too much to ask? so, we decided to think of some on our own. All the design don't necessarily "look" more formal, but they are in a sense of the construction, being more fitted with darts, and a use of higher end fabrics...not knits or cottons. So please be nice and I hope you enjoy. Here are 3 dress designs for Shabby Apple dresses .

Color: Deep plum or a fushia'ish color...I love jewel tones, I don't know what it is, but I love them!

Fabric: The band around the neckline, bustline, and hemline, as well as the inner-layer of the bust and skirt is a silk charmeuse. The outer-layer of the bust and skirt is a silk chiffon

Color: Navy..It is the only color I have ever seen this dress in and I think that it is a classic color for all seasons.

Fabric: Silk taffeta. It needs to be a stiffer fabric because of the standing collar and the inverted box pleats to keep its shape. The lining would probably be just a plain lining fabric, of a poly blend; however, if it really was made in silk taffeta you would need to have a lining of the same caliber...you can't mix polyester with 100% silk in my mind.

Color: Bust would be a cream with a black lace overlay, band and tie would be cream. Skirt would be cream with a black accordian pleating on top.

Fabric: The top would be out of a stiffer silk satin with some sort of lace to go on top, the band, tie, and inner-layer of the skirt would be a silk charmeuse. The black accordian pleating would be a silk chiffon or georgette.

Utah trip. Part 2

For the second half of the week we stayed with Matt's sister Christina! It was so much fun to be at their home and Jaxon loved playing with all Gracies cool toys! So I know you are all thinking that I am an amazing photographer and everything, but I am going to break it to you...I didn't take these pictures :) One of Jordans good friends has a brother that is a photgrapher. His name is Peter Loosli (loved him) and is website is: www.looslietaken.com. He was borrowing the BYU photography dep. camera from his brother who invited Gracie and Jaxon to tag along before they got their family pictures taken(I hope that made sense) but super cool huh? We almost didn't go..it was early in the morning and had rained the night before and jaxon was still asleep, but it was so much for the two of them and we loved watching them pose and play together. I am so glad we went! These are the only 2 pictures that I have seen so far. (these are from his blog-I hope this is ok). He did such a good job and the kids loved him, so if you need someone to do family photos in Utah check him out!

I just love this kid to death! Can you really get any more adorable? (I know...I am biased)

For the second week I drove down to Vegas to hang with my family while Matt finished work up in SL. However, I don't have any of those pictures :(...so sad

Utah trip

Matt & I are finally home! -not that many of you knew we even left or anything, because I am an extremely bad blogger- But never the less, we all went up to salt Lake for a little under 2 weeks so that matt could work; as well as spend time with our missed friends and families!
We had an absolute blast! The Brandts were amazing for letting us bunk at their home for the first part of the week (thank you again), which is always fun! We were able to meet up for dinner one night with some more good friends and last but not least, these pictures are of when the sweet Dearths took us out on their boat!...AHH..the lake...we finally meet again! I can't tell you how much I have missed going out on the lake!! We are so lucky to have such kind and generous friends! Thank you all!

A workin' little man

This past weekend Jaxon and I decided to catch a ride to Gunlock with my aunt and uncle! I thought Jaxon would enjoy a yard to run around in for once. It was a blast! Jaxon LOVED it! Everyday he would tromp out to the chicken coop with grandpa, "ampu" as jaxon would say and they would work...digging, stirring their water, getting the eggs, and sweet talking the chickens :). He loved throwing rocks in the river and eventually he would head back to the house..disgustingly dirty beacuse no shoes or clothes (some days) weren't going to help the situation!

This is Jaxon in the goat pen/house thing...he loved it! All I got when I tried to get him out was "no, no, no"...sadly he knows that word! We all took a ride in the back of the mower...actually quite fun but random. I had to snap the picture and then jump in!

We're Back!

We have been missing 3 weeks out of the last 4 1/2 or so! This last trip was to Lake Las Vegas for a t!rip Matt won while doing life insurance. We pretty much chilled at the pool during the day and took advantage of the pool side menu. While at night, they wined and dined us. Jaxon, needless to say...loved it!

After the trip I headed to my parents again because Matt had to fly out of town again. We went on the lake, had birthday parties and enjoyed being with the fam.

The monday before easter Jaxon and I went to vegas to hang-out with the Grandma and Grandpa Hardy! Jaxon stayed busy with all the toys, the sanbox, and the big Jacuzzi with grandpa! It was fun to be back home and spend time with my parents. It has been a long time since I have just been there and "hung out" with them, even though it seemed like we never stopped to sit down! So much to do, and so little time! I also got to spend some time with a really good high school friend of mine, which is always fun!..oh the memories!!
Matt flew out late thursday to be with the fam over Easter! My brother Scott, his wife Diana, and their 2 kids were able to come be with us on Saturday and Sunday and what craziness those boys get in to! Jaxon and Ben are THE 2 roughest kids when they get together and they absolutley LOVE it! They just laugh and laugh and laugh. We just love our cousins!

Beach anyone?

Since we have been here we have made several trips to the beach with Ben and Sheri. Matt and Ben usually boogie board and Jaxon, Sheri and I sit on the beach and play...or at least Jaxon does while we sit and try to keep him near by, but he seems to love it! But what little kid wouldn't love a huge sandbox, rocks, random pools of water, big balls of icky seaweed, and no walls to hold you back?

Any Suggestions?...

So..I have decided that I need some sort of project to do...I know..I know...ever since I had Jaxon I have been projected out and would much rather just buy it that make it and still kind of would, but I am needing some sort of project for me..something to work on or do...I don't know. Just something that will make me think "I am glad I did that" and it has to be something that is NOT kid related...and I have NO good ideas at all! My mind is blank! hmm... Maybe I just need a good book to read...who knows. So I am hoping that you all might have some good ideas for me!

Last friday Matt and I made the long drive up to Grandma and Grandpa Pendleton's near Sacramento, CA. We were supposed to be heading home on tuesday; however, Matt had to make a quick trip to SLC for work on tuesday so Jaxon and I hung-out with the fam all week while we waited for dad to get back! So now we are heading home on Sunday! It has been really fun and a LOT of crazy to be here all week long expecially without Matt for part of it (I think that is why I was feeling a little chaotic at times)...I think I need a nap just as bad as Jaxon needs one! We have had 6 grandbabies, ALL sick, 1 trip to the emergency room (not jaxon), no naps, and late nights, but all totally worth it! On top of all that we have had a blast just hanging around the house amongst other random and exciting things... We love our Grandma's! They found grandma's big bathtub and treadmill and they soon became the biggest hit in the house! They could spend hours in that thing.

Ok...just a little explanation....so this picture was taken one of the days that Matt was gone and Jaxon was needing his mom a LOT..and he thought that once I put him in his seat and got in the back that I had left him..defintly not the case; however, this is the perfect example of how the days were at times...especially when we had no nap :)

This is Mark's Office where we were able to go and have lunch with some of the missionaries..by this point all of the kiddies were not wanting to cooperate, but I still love the picture. Nothing like capturing the moment.

So..This was awesome! Mark and JoAnn know the owner of this huge bowling alley and they hooked us up with our own privte bowling lanes that was in its own room with a pool table, couches, black lights, music...you name it...the works..Jaxon had a blast and just grooved all night long..right here he is just taking a break to eat some pizza, and check out the scenery.

We have LOVED being here with all of the family. It is so good to spend time with the people you love; however, I definitly have grown an appreciation for Matt and nap time!

California

So I have been waiting to get a new charger cord for our camera so I can update with some pictures of the move, the place, and some of our little adventures here; however, we aren't quite that on top of things! I would much rather just post some pictures because I am a strong believer in "a picture speaks a thousand words" and... because I am not a very exciting and detailed writer...just ask all of my english teachers and some family members! :)

So far, we have loved every aspect of California! The weather has been unbelieveable! Today it was beautiful and 8o degrees! I can't hardly believe it! Jaxon and I have been on walks every day, gone to the parks, we have ventured to the pool, last week we went to the beach and Matt went boogie boarding (freezing) and we have hit up Disney a few times as well! It has been a few weeks of simply taking advantage of the sun and warmth.

Jaxon is still the crazy, wild, loving little terror that he is! He is very much into giving kisses and hugs, but on the other hand he is also learning to hit and kick and say.."Noo" which sometimes makes me want to scream..but this is the life of a 1 1/2 year old I am guessing. He is a little jumper and has made many different friends at the parks and has scared away a few I think, but he has loved every minute of being here.

We wish we could have everyone move here and be with us! We miss all of our friends that we have grown to love over the past few years when we lived in Utah. However, we are grateful for the opportunity to be here in CA and for all of the blessings that the Lord has given us. Hopefullay next time I can post some pictures!

We Made It....Finally

We have finally made it here to the sun of California. After a crazy week of Christmas and packing we headed off for our first stop...Las Vegas; however, our luck would have that the back rotars of the truck went out in St. George which meant that we had to unpack our truck and repack everything into a different one!...Needless to say, it was a very bad day day for me! But we finally made it and here we are and so far, so good. Just thought I would give somewhat of an update.

Rock the Nog Baby!

Every Christmas we have some good friends that throw an "eggnog and turtleneck" party; however, they switched it up this year with "rock the nog-80's"-soo much fun! I can't beleive some of the outfits that were there...they were fabulous!! Anyway, we had pizza, white elephant gifts, 80's trivia game where we won some sweet glasses, Top Gun, Uno, and a slap bracelet! yeah baby! We are going to miss this pary every year! Thank you guys so much for the fun times and great parties..We will miss you!

Saving the best for last! Everyone there loved my high waisted, way too tapered, purple jeans...so I couldn't resist putting this picture up...I hope you all get a good laugh!! (I hope my butt really isn't this big)

Matt and I are moving to Southern orange county! I cannot believe it! Never in my life did I think I would be in California! But I must admit, I am so ready for the sunshine and warm weather! If we had snowboards at the moment, we would be switching them out for some surfboards right now! We have loved living in Utah, and will miss all of our friends and family that have been so kind and loving! We have truly been blessed to have made such wonderful friends here, but I guess that just gives you all an excuse to come visit the beach right? I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season!

Jaxon was a lion this year for Halloween! Jamie made his costume and everyone loved it.

We gave him a sucker and he wouldn't let go of it to save his life. He got slobber everywhere and enjoyed every second of it!

Don't worry we only let him eat about 2 pieces of candy. Dad of course ate all the leftovers.

Holy Toledo!

The last leg of our trip was in Madrid, Spain where we took a day trip to the ancient city of Toledo that used to be the capital of Spain. It was so interesting to be standing in buildings over a thousand years old! It's history is so crazy. There is a church there that was built by Muslims to be a Jewish mosque but is a christian church today. The cathedral there is absolutely stunning. It took them 300 years to build.

This picture is the old entrance into the city. It has a huge wall around the whole city.

The parks were beautful and relaxing.

The pastries were awesome and huge!!!

This was the best sandwitch I have ever had. Period. And that is my sister Christina with me.

This amazing building is oh just the POST OFFICE!
We qualified for the trip to Spain through my work and they treated us like Kings. They had Spanish musicians playing music for us in the lobby of our hotel. We had a private dinner at a palace that blew away anthing we saw in London or Paris. There were musicians and opera singers serenading us throughout the dinner. We even had a private after hours tour of the Prada Museum in Madrid. It was incredible to have the whole building to ourselves!

This was the fancy night when we went to the Prada Museum with my sister Christina and her husband Jordan.

The London Eye High Noon Tea! Cucumber sandwich anyone?

We have been having so much fun over here in London. For those of you who don't know, Matt and I are going to London, Paris, and Madrid with Matt's sister Christina and her husband Jordan. So far, we have made it to London! It has been a blast, except that I think my feet fell off a day ago or so! They walk so much around here! We have had high noon tea, experienced the double decker bus, saw Wicked, gone up..and then down the London Eye, and have done everything else I think that there is to do there! We absolutly loved it, but we do miss seeing our sweet little boy everyday!

So Jamie and I were playing with Jaxon the other day and we both sat down on the couch and accidentaly fell asleep. The next thing we know we're waking up to something banging on the kitchen floor. Jaxon was laughing his head off because everytime he hit the baby powder bottle on the floor a big poof would shoot up into the air. Needless to say we're still dusting up baby powder all over our house!

Happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you! Jaxon turned one last friday and boy did we have a party! I cannot believe how fast this past year has flown by and how fast jaxon has gone from a chubby little baby to this little boy! Does anyone know how to slow time??

For his birthday bash my brother and his family came up to celebrate (yeah, we love you guys), since most of Matt's family have left us all alone. We wish you all could have been there with us! We went to the childrens discovery garden at Thanksgiving point, which was really fun. I had never been there before and the kids really liked it. We got lost in the maze, crawled in bear caves, and played in the water

After coming back we had some friends and more family over for a bbq with cake and Ice-cream. I have to brag about the cake because I helped make it and I love it! Matt's sister Christina helped make it beautiful no doubt! (thanks a ton!) and he destroyed it.....

Has it seriously almost been a month since we have posted?! I am sorry to everyone in the blogging world that keeps updated on these things! Don't give up on us...we are still alive! On the not so exciting side, nothing too new has been going on. Just the same ol' routine of trying to keep Jaxon under control! He is one crazy little boy, but aren't all little boys crazy?

However; on the very exciting side of things he has officially started walking! It still isn't his full on mode of transportation (still a little tipsy), but I would give it another week or so. We are such proud parents! Here are a few pictures of some of our happenings in the last month...

A week or so ago, on the way home from the lake we stopped by tasty El Pollo Loco for some dinner and Jaxon had a um...incident and we had no backup plan, so we improvised....poor kid!

A week ago all of matt's brothers and sisters came over with their cute little kiddies to go swimmin' in the pool! It is so funny to see them all together playing, fighting, and whatever else they decide to do at the moment!

Well my parents are officially Mission Presidents. They landed in California yesterday (June 26th) They were set apart on Saturday the 20th and went to the MTC for 5 days. All week long they were taught by The First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Then we got to spend the day with them on Thursday before they flew out and it was great to hear all the stories. Having dinner with Elder Holland, chatting with L. Tom Perry, Elder Scott, talking with Sister Eyring and Sister Oaks in the bathroom line, President Monson as the Sacrament Meeting speaker, etc. The list went on and on. They absolutely loved it and learned amazing things.

We were lucky enough to be there when they got set apart by L. Tom Perry. He is so awesome and just as nice and friendly as you imagine from his conference talks. All in all it has been an amazing last week but a little hard to say bye to the parents.

So today I was on-line looking at everyone elses blog, enjoying everyone's little outings and adventures and thought to myself, which I have done many times in the last few weeks, "I should update my blog, instead of always just looking at everyone elses". So this is what I am doing....I am actually following through on this!!

Well what is new in our little family? Last week was crazy with Matt's little sister leaving on her mission! She went into the MTC on wednesday and seems to be loving it! Jaxon has started to sit up all by himself! Hooray...no more picking him off the ground every 10 seconds! This past week he has started to semi-crawl and kind of stand himself up! It seems like he has turned into a little toddler in the last couple of weeks...he doesn't seem like my little "baby" anymore...He is getting so big!

As for Me and Matt, we are seeming to keep ourselves busy with work and everything else you can think of. I feel kinda MIA as far as the social life goes around here, but that is my fault at being so preoccupied with other things...But all in all, the Pendleton's are doing great!

Happy Easter!

This easter was really nice and relaxing. I always love easter and the true meaning behind it, to reflect on the resurection of Christ and to know that we will all live again. After church ended we headed to Matt's parents' house for a big dinner and an easter egg hunt! I think there were about 20 people there and Cami's boyfriend came!!...she says she is still going on a mission, but we'll see j/k cam..we love you! After dinner we headed outside for the easter egg hunt and Jaxon only got about 6 eggs, but that was plenty since he isn't the one eating all of the candy anyway. He is so funny I would hold him over the egg and he would reach down and pick it up and go straight for the mouth!! He was pretty intrigued by those colorful things! He was our little easter bunny!!

These pictures were taken at the park...a couple of people in our neighborhood got together and had a little easter egg hunt with all the kids a few days before Easter.

Well...I thought that it is about time that I post something new about our life, but first I guess there would have to be something actually going on, and since there isn't anything really with Matt and I...I will have to post about Jaxon..surprise, surprise. Last week was his first time drinking out of a sippi cup and he did so good and he absolutly loved it! You can tell he feels like he has hit some milestone or something!! however, we have found that he is a bit lazy and won't hold the cup himself...he will grip onto it with usually only one hand, hold it for a while, which he is completly capable of and then he will drop it right in front of him, stare at it and then start crying at the top of his lungs.. the look on his face is so sad, but it is the most adorable thing ever..he gets cuter by the minute!

Called to Serve

So, it seems like every member of Matt's family is leaving us this summer! A family of 11 is going to a family of 6, all in 2 months time! I know 6 is a lot, but when you are always with 12 or more, 6 doesn't seem like much!! Anyway, more importantly Matt's parents were called to be mission presidents a few months ago and we have all been anxiously waiting for their call. They could have been called anywhere from New Zealand, to Africa, to the cold winters of Canada! and on Saturday the FedEx package came! They have been called to serve in the Roseville, California mission and they leave for the MTC on June 21!! They are super excited, and couldn't be happier!! JoAnn will have her Costco and Wild Oats and they will both get to enjoy the fabulous weather that I will thouroughly be jealous of! Matt and I are so happy and excited for you on this new adventure and chapter in your life! You guys will be amazing and so many young men and women will look up to you because of your love, strength in the gospel, and welcoming arms. Congratulations! We love you!!

1. What was I doing 10 years ago. I was rockin' the 7th grade at Garrett Middle school in Boulder City, Nevada-How Exciting!

Sister Camilla Pendleton

Tonight Matt's little sister Cami got her mission call!! She has been called to the Rochester, New York Mission, as well as the Hill Cumorah Historical Sites!! We are so excited and happy for her! She enters the MTC on wednesday May 7th. The funny thing is, is that when we all got together tonight there was a big map where everyone guessed where she was going and Matt, the inspired man that he is chose Rochester NY! We couldn't believe it and we won a bag of m&m's (which we forgot). But I guess it just shows Matt's spiritual power haha...anyway, we love you Cami and are so happy and proud of you! We know you will do an amazing job teaching the gospel, and sharing your love and kindness with all those that you meet and come to know. We also hope that we can secretly come visit you :)

Gunlock

This weekend Matt and I, and a bunch of buddies headed down to Gunlock, UT (right outside of st. george) to go to the parade of homes, but actually that was an excuse to escape the cold for some warmer weather! It was nice to get outside of the snow and into the 60's. There were about 10 of us with 2 babies and a whole lot of family and some other college kids there all squished in the house, but we had fun playing games, hanging out, and eating too much! It was really nice to see my family- last time was 2 months ago and Jaxon was missing his grandparents and aunt and uncle! We don't get to see them nearly enough!

The parade of homes was amazing as usual! and I actually liked the homes this year better than last! And matt and I have discovered that we want a home in the Ledges, which is....oh you know, a mere 4-6 million dollars easy (I can dream!!)

This was a beautiful home. It was located over by Washington and I wish we had taken more pictures of it. It was very french cottage with bright colors and a sweet back yard!

So, this past week we tried giving Jaxon his first rice cereal! I know, you wouldn't think he needs anymore food to sustain him through the night, but amazingly enough he has been waking up in the middle of the night hungry! NOO!!! so, needless to say, we have busted out the cereal and I don't think any of it actually made it to his little belly! It was so cute! He didn't want the spoon with the food, he just wanted to grab the bowl and stick the whole thing in his mouth...so cute and messy!

As for the new year! we have a new addition to our Pendleton family of cousins! Kathryn and Daniel had their baby on the 8th. He weighs 6 lbs 11 oz. Unfortunatly we havn't seen him yet because he was in the NICU (so sad) but today we found that he is no longer in there and he is healthy and happy!

It's Christmas!!

Merry belated Christmas everyone! So all year everyone looks forward to the holidays to relax; however, it seems like is has been anything but relaxing for us and I absolutly love it. I love how christmas time brings family together, it gives you an excellent excuse to eat all food you can, you get to hear the cheesy and not so cheesy chrismas songs ALL the time, you see old friends, etc, but saldly the bussiness is almost to an end.

Matt and I headed south to vegas for the pre-christmas excitement. We spent the weekend before santa's big day and christmas eve with my family. It was so fun to see them again! I don't get to see them nearly enough! Grandma and Grandpa Hardy...We love you!! On christmas eve we headed home and unfortunalty on the way home we drove through a HUGE storm, which was a whiteout from Bever to Utah valley (not so fun) but we made it safe and sound. On Christmas morning we headed over to the Pendleton's to open presents and I definitly know who is the favorite to them...it is all the grandchildren! All the babies made a haul and Jaxon just loved all of his presents but I think he liked the wrapping paper even more! We especially enjoyed the time being with matt's parents and his brothers and sisters this Christmas, because his parents will be leaving for 3 years to go be mission presidents, and Ana and Justin will be leaving to Hawaii for the air force for 4 years and Cami is going on a mission this spring. We will miss them all, which just means matt and I will have some serious traveling to do in the next few years! We love you guys!! Since then, we have been hanging out, having family christmas parties, and loving the season. We look forward to the new year and hope that everyone's 2008 will be great!

Yesterday Matt and I went up to Jordan and Christina's house (matt's sister) to hang out and play an intense card game that Christina and I have no luck at winning, but that's besides the point...while we were there, Jaxon had a major blow-out so, of course we had our back up outfit that he changed into, but no joke, about 30 minutes later he had another wonderful suprize for us! and unfortunatly we didn't have another backup, so thanks to cousin Gracie we had a cute little pink designer onesie from Calivin Klein that fit him perfectly. For the night he was the girl I never had, and just for the record, pink is not his color at all :)

This past weekend we broke out the "jumperoo" for Jaxon, so today I put him in it, thinking that he would just be totally excited about this unknown contraption of his and that he would just giggle and laugh the whole time, which he did at first; however, as I was at the computer I noticed all I was hearing was silence and I looked over my shoulder at him and this is what I saw.

It was the cuttest and funniest thing that I have seen in a while from him! I love having such a cute, chubby, baby boy!! I guess his "jumperoo" isn't as exciting as I thought it would be for him!

Thanksgiving in St.George & Gunlock

We had a great Thanksgiving! We spent the whole week down in St. George and Gunlock. It's nice because my family stays in St. George and Jamie's stays in their cabin in Gunlock 20 minutes outside of St George so we get to see everyone. As you can see from the pictures Jaxon is huge! He's weighing in at the heavy weight fighting championship weight of 17 pounds at 3 months old! The weeks activities ranged from golfing twice + one bucket of balls, helping to build a goat pen in Gunlock, eating enough turkey for 3 years, and driving home on Saturday morning and arriving at the BYU game just after kickoff and watching a bunch of people in red enjoy less than one minute of glory :) 4th & 18.......no problem!

Today was awesome and so special! We blessed Jaxon today in church and the day has been filled with the spirit. I feel so blessed to be a part of the LDS church where I am able to be with my family forever and with a wonderful man who holds the priesthood. It is amazing the joy and happiness that you recieve from such a tiny little body. Every time I look at Jaxon, I can't help but smile, and whenever I think about how fast he will grow up I get all emotional. I wonder if I just hold him tight enough and long enough..he wont grow up as fast. I am just so incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have to be a mother in this day and age to raise my sweet baby boy.

Tonight all of Matt's family got together for Grandma Jordans birthday party. (She is turning 21 of course). The kids were all supposed to come in their Halloween costumes, and when we got there, there was a house full of pumpkins. It was the Pendleton pumpkin patch!!! The picture is of oh so proud Grandma and Grandpa Pendleton, Mark and JoAnn, and great Grandma Jordan, as well as all of the grandbabies. Savanna (mini-van) who is 6 months old is on the left, who I think is the happiest baby ever!! She reminds me of a cute little bobble head, that just makes you happy. Jaxon is next to her, of course my absolute favorite baby in the bunch with his oh so chubby cheeks; however, he isn't the happiest in this picture...so sad. Next is baby Gracie who is almost 4 weeks old..so tiny and cute!! and last but not least is cousin Lincoln, who showed up as a dalmation, but he decided that he hated the costume and tore it off, so he then just became the naked baby and he is a little over one year old! It is so fun to get together with all the cousins and see them all so close in age, yet at completely different stages!! They grow up so fast..too fast! And I just had to add the picture of matt because he is just such a proud pappa and so good at it! My two favorite boys in the world!

Cornbellys

So every year, well the last two anyway, some neighbors and friends have gotten together to go down to cornbellys at Thanksgiving point, which has a bunch of games and activities for kids, a haunted corn maze, a not so haunted one, a hayride, and a haunted lizard thing etc. So....last night that is where we were. Jaxon's first experience with gouls and goblins! Actually, we did take him through the haunted lizard and maze and suprizingly he just slept through it all, which was great! It was absolutly freezing!!! but I had Jaxon strapped to the front of me the whole time with made it a whole lot warmer for me. (the wrap is quite the contraption, but I love it). On a different note, I actually ran into one of my good friends from the beginning of freshman year (before matt took all my time) which was fun, but at the same time akward because I had a baby and I hadn't seen him since before his mission....anyway...kinda random, but whatever.....and so the picture with all the guys in the cornfield....ya, they totally got reamed out for being in there and the guy was upset because he thought they were stomping on it and that it would be ruined blah blah blah...However; just for the record none of it was stepped on and it was already flat from previous rompers. Needless to say, we had a fun time and afterwards we all met up and had some homemade carmel apple cider..YUMMY!! I never thought I would say this in my entire life, but October is by far my favorite month! The crisp cool weather, colorful leaves, and the soo fun halloween season!

Well, I'm responsible for making one of these pumpkins and Jamie is responsible for the other. Any guesses? Well if you think that I sewed the pumpkin costume for Jaxon you are right...and by that I mean that Jamie made the costume. I carved the puking pumpkin. I'm having a hard time determining which one is cooler. In other news, Jamie got called to be the second counselor in the young women's program.....and I'm still on the activities committee without her. I'm not sure how I feel about this as I still have to plan the ward Christmas party. I'll probably drag her into it. Jaxon had his 2 month check up this last Monday and is in the 92% for weight and 84% for height. 15 pounds and 24 " long. He is so dang fun. We get him to laugh all the time. He burps louder than I have ever burped in my life and the gas is incredible. It sounds like he should be deflating by how much air comes out of this kid.

Jaxon can finally fit into his Nike outfit that is father is so very proud of! I personally think he looks like some gangster (a very cute one) that is going to bust out some rap song...or that he is going to rob a bank :) Anyway, Matt bought this outfit when we first found out that we were pregnant, so needless to say, he was pretty stoked when he found out that we were going to have a little boy to fill it.

On another note, Jax is doing so good. I only have to get up once a night right now, which I think is pretty good and this week he is up to 13 lbs! He is our little chunker. He has also started smiling on purpose instead of just when he has gas- It is pretty funny. We are definitely loving this whole parent thing.

Day in the Spotlight

So a few weeks ago we too Jaxon to get some newborn pictures taken down in Orem with Knees and Toes Photography (good pricing). It was so much fun and he did so well, besides the fact that he peed three different times, twice all over her set, and then once all over my stomach (good thing I was wearing black). Other than that he slept pretty much the whole time. Little babies just have the cutest little bodies, how they just curl up into little balls and are so cudly. Aww..soo cute. The pictures were taken when he was around two to three weeks old and now at 5 weeks he weighs a little over 12 lbs! I can't believe it. He has grown so much in just the past 2 weeks!

* I just have to say that Matt isn't a fan of the picture with the blue bow, but I think it is super cute. After all, there are only a few weeks/days in a baby boy's life that he can get away with a bow!

Over the weekend we hit the lake all day Thursday and all day Saturday with the Shamo's shiney new boat! It was sweeeet! We wakeboarded, surfed, and a few busted out the old water ski and had a crazy time on the airchair! Those things are seriously crazy. Thanks Shamos!

Road trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

This past weekend we headed on down to Vegas to visit grandma and grandpa Hardy! It took us a little longer than usual, which is to be expected since we have a little guy on our hands that demands a little more attention. Anyway, the trip was fun, and nice to just be able to hang out and not have to think about anything. Matt got together with all the "guys" and played Halo, watched football, and of course, went on the lake. I on the otherhand was very happy just hanging out with Jaxon and the grandparent's, watching movies, shopping, and eating some very delicous smoothies (YUM!). Grandma and Grandpa seemed to be in Heaven holding Jaxon every minute that they could (I don't blame them, he is so cuddly) Friday and saturday Scott and Diana were able to come spend some time out in Boulder City and see their new nephew and Ben was able to see his new cousin,whom he was very curious about. It was so cute to see Ben interact with Jax. He would always say "baby" or "toes" and point to his feet and in the car he would try to hold Jax's hand and he would try to kiss him on the forehead-it was soo cute!!.

On Aug 3rd we saw the movie Bourne Ultimatum and it inspired me to name our boy Jaxon Bourne Pendleton. However, that idea didn't fly with the wife. So, Jaxon James Pendleton it is. Jamie was scheduled to be induced on Aug 15th at 7:00 AM. At 5:30 that morning her water broke, exactly one week over due (she was pretty bitter about the whole over due thing, with good reason I might add). So we get to the hospital having small contractions every 2 minutes. At 9:30 Jamie got the epidural (gift from heaven!) and it basically stalled the labor process. She was still having contractions but the dialating stopped at 5 cm. So we slept, read some books, watched a little TV, slept again, checked our email, etc. It was actually a very relaxing day for both of us. At 4:30 PM the nurse came in and said she was at 6 cm and that we could expect to gain 1 cm per hour and then to push for 1 to 2 hours once she reached 10 cm. So we decided to take another nap. Jamie was feeling really good as she couldn't feel a thing but my back was starting to hurt from that dang hospital couch. So we started my epidural at 4:30 PM. It was fantastic! But the I got abruptly interupted from my dream when the nurse came back into the room 30 minutes later at 5:00 PM. She siad that our baby was showing alot of movement and she decided to check Jamie again. In 30 minutes Jamie went from a 6 to a 10 and the nurse said we were going to start pushing. We adjusted the bed and got everything ready to have the baby and started pushing at 5:10. We pushed for 10 minutes (4 contractions) and then the nurse made us stop so she could go call the doctor. We waited 15 minutes for the doctor to show up and started to push again. 10 minutes later Jax was here! 8lbs 11 oz, 20 1/2 inches. He's a big boy! It was insane. I was still trying to wake up from my nap and it was all over with! Jamie said, "I'm a little tired and hungary." I was completely blown away at how easy Jamie made it seem. All I have to say is thank goodness for modern medicin. Jax is soooo handsome and definitely a man. He passed all his tests except for his hearing test in his left ear. They said it's very common so we have a follow up appointment in 10 days to get him retested. We stayed in the hospital for a couple days and got home yesterday afternoon. I love this little guy but last night was brutal! No sleep. But here are some pictures for you guys. He's such a stud!

Ticking Time Bomb

So...my due date has come and gone with still no baby! Today I had yet another fun appointment and nothing has changed or progressed. I go in next monday to set a date to be induced, but we are hoping that he wont last that long. I think that he's lodged under my rib and can't quite figure out how to get unstuck. Anyway, I don't think that I have ever been this freaked out in my entire life, but at the same time so excited. We will let you know how it goes and hopefully have some cute pictures for you.

Jax's Cousins

These are Jaxon's cousins that are here already. He has one more girl cousin that is coming 2 months after Jax gets here. Here name will be Gracie Emma and will belong to my sister Christina and her husband Jordan. My bro D-Love's kid, Lincoln, is the one with the killer binki! Jamie's brother Scott's kid, Benjamin is the one driving the boat. Got to start 'em early! And my sister Andrea and her husband Justin had a baby girl 3 months ago. Her name is Savanna. We always called Andrea Anna while growing up and it evolved into Annamal. So naturaly we started calling Savanna Savannamal. Lots of little buddies.

Well we have been busy lately with baby showers and getting the nursery ready for little Jax to come. Jamie had an appointment this morning and he's not coming yet! Jamie wishes he would come early. Her back hurts a lot these days and she wants to sleep on her back so badly. We have almost everything we need for a newborn. Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary! I can't believe it has been that long already. We spent the day hoping Jax didn't come so that we could still have our anniversary to ourselves. We went and got a few baby things and looked at swings and then had a nice dinner together. Oh by the way JT, if you read this, we ate at the Blue Boar Inn in Midway a while back and holy crap that was good! Anyway, we miss all you guys in Cali and Vegas!

Getting Baby Ready!

Hey everybody. Here is the latest in us getting baby ready. We officially have our crib and stroller. Jamie made the bumper set, sheets, dust ruffle and blanket. Next is the valance for the window. Jamie wants me to build some fancy contraption to hang the valance on. Jamie is doing a bunch of cool stuff. She started a company called Sweet Dream Designs. She makes custom baby bedding and accessories. She also got a job a JoAnn's Fabric store teaching sewing classes to kids. Lately she has been teaching a bunch of 11 year old girls how to make a quilt. We are also the proud owners of a new stroller. It's really cool. The United States just got this brand over here. It has been in Europe for 4 years. The infant car seat that goes with it still hasn't arrived in the US yet and they expect to get them here in August. Anyway, it has hydraulics and cool manly stuff so I like it.

FLY FISHING

Hey everybody. I went fly fishing all day on Friday. It was s o fun to get away and think about nothing. I hit up one of my old mission comps to take me and teach me. I put sunscreen on everywhere...or so I thought! I happened to miss a little section on my left wrist that was in the sun for oh about 8 hours. Anyway, I have a big red stripe on my wrist. Classic. We caught some HUGE fish that were about 10 inches long and weighed about a pound. Really big fish. It was a blast. We went on the Provo River in Midway.

Well Jamie is officially done with school. Graduation was cool because Jamie, my bro D-Love and his wife all graduated. We have been out of town since and are juststarting to get back into the swing of things. For all the fellas, I went golfing at Sunbrook in St. George on Tuesday and I got an eagle! It was the best shot of my life and drove the green on a par 4 and then sank the putt. Yeah then the next hole I 3 putted! Anyway, good times. Later!

Dudes,
Life has been crazy lately. Last week was Jamie's 22nd birthday. I got her some rockin maternity cloths and a bunch of balloons. We're having a boy and the due date is Aug 6th. Stoked about it. We like the name Jaxon and he's kicking Jamie like crazy lately. She's getting a big ol belly. Then 2 days later she graduated from BYU (my bro and his wife graduated too). Then my sister had a baby and my other sister announced that she was pregnant. So that will make 4 grandkids within a year and a half. Anywho, it's about golfing weather but we'll have to hold off on that for a couple weeks. Jamie and I are going to Lake Havasue(or however you spell it) in AZ for the weekend and then to Las Vegas for a while. As for me, I just love taking care of my yard. The grass is getting super green and I love it! Work is crazy. Stressful but fun. I love business and finance. We're working on some fun projects. So that's it for now so PEACE OUT!
